Promoting a key event & building excitement ahead of the day
Event promotion

Introduction
A hospitality venue was preparing to host a charity event called One4Six in aid of St Oswald's Hospice - running the distance of six marathons in one day. With only 3 weeks until the event, they needed to build an online presence from scratch to attract participants, create awareness, and drive footfall on the day.
Problem
With no existing social media platforms for the event and limited time before launch, the event needed to quickly gain visibility, build credibility, and encourage sign-ups. Alongside attracting participants, the venue also needed to create excitement around the day, secure entertainment, and generate enough awareness to make the event a success.
Approach
We developed a fast-paced social media strategy focused on reaching the right audience in a short timeframe. This included researching running communities, charity audiences, and local engagement opportunities to identify the people most likely to participate and support the event. From there, we created a content plan built around high-impact formats including reels, storytelling, behind-the-scenes content, and regular updates to build momentum leading up to the event.
Solution
We created the event's full social media presence from the ground up, including brand launch, content strategy, photography, videography, graphic design, reels, and ongoing content management. Through multiple content days, including supplier collaborations and coverage on the event day, we showcased the challenge, built excitement, promoted sign-ups, and captured the atmosphere of the event.
Results
Within just three weeks of launching the event's social channels, we helped achieve the target number of sign-ups, secured four DJs for the event through social media outreach, and created a consistent online presence that drove engagement. As well as international recognition from the treadmill supplier, significantly increasing visibility for the challenge.

Impact
Zero to event day in record time. The campaign helped turn a charity event idea into a successful, well-attended event, driving footfall to the venue and helping raise money for St Oswald's Hospice. The success of the project also led to an ongoing partnership, with the client continuing to work with us on future marketing activity.
